Indira Gandhi National Open University came into existence in September, 1985 to promote distance learning education in India. IGNOU is not only offering education for Indian students. PG Courses
Admission post-graduate courses are open for both fresh and re-registration. Several postgraduate courses are offered at IGNOU including Master of Commerce, Master of Science in Chemistry, Master of Science in Zoology, Master of Arts in Hindi, Master of Arts in Economics, Master of Social Work, Master of Library and Information Science and more. To enroll in these courses students need to complete their bachelor’s with obtaining at least 50% marks in related specialization from any reputed university. These master’s courses require 2 years per year to complete and are divided into 4 semesters. Exams of these programs are conducted semester wise. IGNOU Diploma Courses
Various diploma courses are active at different study centres of IGNOU for the 2025 session. Few of the Diploma courses include Diploma in Event Management, Diploma in Creative Writing in English, Diploma in Meat Technology, Diploma in Modern Office Practice, Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education and more.
